The food industry has undergone a major revolution in recent years. The sugary drinks and the fast food quickies that were once a favorite among Americans are quickly losing their appeal as consumers become more educated.
This movement has increased in popularity due in part to greater cultural awareness on nutrition. For example, in the past, Americans simply ate or drank something because “it” tasted good. But Americans today are focused on more than simply taste. They want to live a long and healthy life, and they have the access to the information they need to get that life.

But to many life has become one full of avoidable pain.
Mickey Mantle summed it up the best when he said, “If I knew I was going to live this long,
I’d have taken better care of myself.”
Access to Information
Americans have access to every drop of knowledge that ever was. Thank you Internet! Millennials, for example, are taking deliberate steps to have a better life when they get old. They can easily search any food they want and find out what experts have to say about it. Don’t know how many calories are in something? Google it. Don’t know where some food
